Developing Autopaint’s Advanced Online Store

We present one of our latest projects – an online store for Autopaint. Autopaint is an Estonian company, a leader in the sale of paints and related products for cars. By providing their customers with the ability to order and pay for products online and delivering them across Estonia, Autopaint has made a significant step in business development. 

Project Goal 

The main goal of the project was developing a modern, convenient, and functional online store that would ensure ease of searching for and ordering necessary products, as well as automating key business processes. We aimed to make the site as user-friendly and understandable as possible, so customers could easily find the products they need and place orders in just a few clicks.

Technologies and Tools 

To implement this project, we used the following tools: 

  • Platform: WordPress 
  • Online Store Plugin: WooCommerce 
  • Page Builder: Elementor Pro 
  • Payment System: EveryPay 
  • Delivery: Integration with Venipak and SmartPost 

These tools allowed us to create a highly flexible and scalable online store that is easy to maintain and develop in the future. 

Security 

We paid special attention to the security of the website. To protect against viruses and other threats, we integrated the VirusDie service, which regularly scans the site, identifies, and eliminates potential threats. This ensures stable and secure operation of the online store, protecting customer data and maintaining a high level of trust. 

Project Features 

  • Product Import: We prepared special tables in Excel and used the standard capabilities of WooCommerce for product import. This included variable products as well. This solution allowed us to quickly and efficiently update the product range, eliminating the need to purchase or develop complex custom modules for import and simplifying the data update process. 
  • Integration with Warehouse Management System: For data synchronization between the client’s ERP system and the website, we set up data exchange, which includes product synchronization and automatic updating of stock and price information. New orders also go directly from the website to the warehouse management system. This ensured the relevance of the data on the site and simplified inventory management. 
  • Order Tracking: We implemented the ability to track order status and process returns, improving the customer experience and increasing the level of service. Customers can find out the status of their order at any time and, if necessary, issue a return.

  • Group Discounts: A discount system was implemented for various customer groups. This allows flexible management of pricing policies and offering of individual conditions for different categories of buyers. 

Custom Paint Orders 

Autopaint produces paints that exactly match the factory parameters of the car. The ability to order paint became a key feature of Autopaint’s website.  

Amblik developed an advanced system that helps customers find and order the necessary paint by its code or by car brand, model, and year. The customer can specify the volume and type of wished container. This paint ordering option, developed by our team, significantly simplified the process of selecting and purchasing the correct paint.

Results 

  • User-Friendly Interface: The created interface ensures easy navigation and simplicity of use, attracting new and retaining existing customers.

  • Process Automation: Integration with payment and delivery systems automates orders, increasing processing speed and efficiency of orders both on the site and in the warehouse. 
  • Warehouse Efficiency: Synchronization with the ERP-System makes warehouse operations transparent and manageable, promotes quick and accurate order fulfillment, and allows for prompt response to changes in demand. 
  • Responsive Interface on Mobile Devices and Tablets: Customers do not necessarily need to sit at a computer to successfully place an order on the website. The ordering process is simple and clear and can easily be completed even from a mobile phone.

The online store project became an important step for Autopaint, improving customer interaction and automating many processes. The company has additional ideas for enhancing the site, so development is ongoing.
